if time is not a spot just around the corner, then
I have long hair

and can run a mile smiling
these red-orange tomatoes are still green

or seeds in the ground, and
I don't love you.

Risa Denenberg is an aging hippie currently living in the Pacific Northwest who earns her keep as a nurse practitioner and has worked for many years in end-of-life care.
